Hot Licks Ice Cream - started in Fairbanks, AK - is incredible. You can only get it in Alaska, but it's worth hunting down if you are in Anchorage, Fairbanks, North Pole, or Denali. The flavors are magical - http://www.hotlicks.net/flavors.html - plenty of specialty stuff (e.g. Prudhoe - the most chocolate ice cream I've ever had), portions are generous, the Anchorage store is funky, fun, and next to an alternative coffee shop / bookstore. My friends that I was with (who are not chocolate lovers) are addicted to "Passion Fruit" which they refer to as "the crack of Ice Cream." Don't pass this up - it's even good in the winter.
