I generally do not like shopping at big box retailers and home stores like Home Depot and Lowe's - they are big, impersonal and usually lacking a knowledgeable staff.
None of this is true of Fiore's Hardware. What they lack in size they make up for in personal attention and service. And while the prices may be a little higher on some items it is usually worth it for the convenience and service.
Fiore's also rents any tool or party supply that you can imagine. I have rented several tools (recently a roto-router and a 2 man post digger) with no problems.
They also repair small engines such as lawn mowers and snow blowers. I have used them several times for this service and have been very pleased.
If you are like me and tired of the big chain home centers, I would recommend doing business at Fiore's hardware.
