The 1842 Inn is a beautiful historic inn in downtown Macon. The buildings are absolutely gorgeous and the decorations are divine. I felt as though I were staying in an actual antebellum home. There are drinks and appetizers in the evening where you can chat with other guests and listen to piano music. Breakfast was very nice and we had the option of where we wanted to eat. We choose our room but you can also eat out on one of the many squares surrounded by beautiful flowers. Very romantic.
