Simone used to work in a fancy French chateau. And when I say French, I mean in France. Now she has a small restaurant in Oakland. The place is tiny. You go up some narrow stairs and look for it in the corner. When you get inside there night be 7 tables (at most) and they are all for 2. One is crammed against the door. They are all full. Always. Simone creates the menu and does all of the cooking herself (only about 10 feet away, you can see her hard at work).
No matter what dish Simone comes up with, it is always wonderful, from the appetizers to the desserts. Beacuse the place is small and 'intimately' lit it is a nice place for couples, especially those who want to go out to a fancy dinner but are on a budget. Make sure you have a reservation (if you can get one) and be prepared for a fantastic meal!
