Good: The best part of the whole experience was being out in the water with our instructor Tom. The first day we went out on a group lesson and that was cool, but we came back later in the week for private lessons and really enjoyed the personal attention we received.. Bad: The group surfing lessons really weren't for me. I enjoyed the more private one on one attention my husband I received away from the group.. Improvements: A two for one deal would be nice!. Other: Overall I thought the staff at Maui Wave Riders in Kihei were friendly people that offer a good service and I would recommend them to anyone looking to learn to surf while in Maui..
