This is one of two places that i stay when i go to the Smokey MOuntain area for vacation. I feel welcome and it is a genuine feeling and aura that is projected by the staff. On my very first time last year staying there I had left one extremely horrible hotel that I ended up getting sick at due to a viral sinus infection that when i checked out and showed up to Shular I was welcomed and my kids were comfortible speaking with the staff unlike otehr places and even a stafff spent her lunch break going to a store on my behalf to get medicine OTC to help ease my sinus issues. I now have it in my trip planner and recomend this place as one to exceed all expectations one can have of a hotel and for it to be just a couple of hours from me a place that i consider a retreat for me
