House of Values in San Mateo uses an interesting concept. They don’t have nice showrooms, but they have tons of catalogues you can look through to find just what you want. Because they don't spend a huge amount of money on decorating the showrooms, their stuff is quite reasonably priced.
Roney’s in San Leandro is similar, but the showroom is a lot nicer.
