Not being a mechanic, I cannot 100% sure - hence the title. But here are the facts...
We took my car in to have the brake worked on because they were squeaking. We were told that the rear brakes needed to be replaced.
On the way home, the brakes were still squeaking. We brought the car back and we were told by the manager that it was "normal".
