So there is only a week left in the Mission Ridge ski season; better late than never. There is currently plenty of DRY snow, varied runs, and great views from the top.
This ski area, 12 miles outside of Wenatchee, WA is about three and half hours from Seattle. It is a great family ski area, and has some steep bump and tree runs for experts and daredevils. With 2250 vertical it is not much shorter than Crystal.
There is no lodging at the mountain, but there are plenty of choices in Wenatchee that include a discount lift ticket.
There is a ski school at the area, cross country and snow shoeing. The lodge has some pretty good food in the restaurant side of the dining area, and some good brews on tap.
