Great Irish Cooking and Wonderful Decor 8/5/2005

Yay I finally made it to this place and I wasn't disappointed at all. I think what I loved most about this place were the various sections of the restaurant that represented places in Ireland. These parts include: A main banquet hall that has a castle-like feel to it, a Victorian Parlor, a Barn or Horse Racing Area. And there is a main area for the huge bar that is pretty much the center of the restaurant. The restaurant was so well planned, and there are so many intricate details included in the decoration pieces and the layout, that it is really fascinating to go there. Although it is an Irish pub, there weren't that many Irish specialties. I tried the Shepherd's Pie and I am really glad I did. It came in a steaming pot and the mashed potatoes (called 'Champ') covered the entire pot which a somewhat thing layer. Inside are big meaty chunks, carrots, baby onions, and other vegetables in a stew like sauce. It was really tasty and satisfying. Good old meat and potatoes. Oh yea and the bread they bring out in the beginning was really good, with an almost cake like taste to it. It also comes with butter flavored with honey that the bread just seems to soak right up. I really love the atmosphere of this place, and would invite you to try some Irish dishes! They do have sandwiches, burgers, and seafood dishes if you are a little weary. more
