Sniders is a good place to go if you want to avoid the big chains. They have a great selection of fresh produce and a FABULOUS deli. You have to try the ham salad, their cheeses and all their fresh cut meats. They also have a good wine and beer selection, which a lot of the supermarkets in the area are not licensed to have. The store itself is pretty small and consequently doesn't have as much available as some of the big places, but all of the basics that you need while grocery shopping are here. I just like that this store seems like more of a neighborhood operation. The signs are handwritten so it feels like the people who run it are more aware of their customers and making them happy. It is a little dark in there, though.
