The Catawba Science Center is an awesome place to take children, my four year old loves it. It is a fun yet educational experience. They have sharks, stingrays, fish, spiders, snakes, all kinds of animals! We just went to the Swamp Things exhibit and got to see a 20 foot burmese python, alligators, possums, owls, a skunk, bobcat, etc. It is really amazing! The admission fee is only 6 dollars for adults and 4 for kids and for a dollar extra per person you can see a show at the Planetarium which is really exciting for kids! I definitely recommend this place, it is an inexpensive and fun place to take your children and let them learn about animals and science.
