Do yourself a favor and do not, do not use this company for anything more complicated than towing a toy car. We hired them upon referral from AAA RV Plus to have our Keystone 5th wheel taken to an RV repair place and ended up paying them $406 so they could have the privilege of completely destroying the tailgate of our 2008 Chevy 3500 one ton dually and deny all responsibility. Our truck was damaged on the bed of their tow rig, one our truck was on their truck it was their responsibility to ensure it's safety. TLC was informed that the tires of our 5th wheel could not be turned due to the axles and brakes burning and locking up and that the rig had to come off of the ground. Fifth wheels have to be on a truck to be moved in any fashion and they did not send out a second truck with the rig it had to go on. They also sent a guy who had never moved a locked up fifth wheel before. The tow operator used OUR truck to do their work instead of sending out the proper equipment that they were hired to do. They lied and said my husband declined a second truck, which makes absolutely no sense as AAA RV Plus is reimbursing us 100% whatever the charges are. No money we needed to save - in addition to having a huge savings balance. We hired a company to do the job right, they are supposed to be the professionals, but no, they ended up using our equipment, causing a situation that led to the destruction of our tailgate that is going to costs us over $1200 to repair. My husband should not have even been asked to assist with his truck. He is a nice guy, besides some cognitive slowness and if I had been home I would have told them to use their own equipment. What I had taken our truck to work that day??? They were supposed to be prepared to move our fifth wheel themselves.!! Employees I have been talking with at TLC kept telling me they will have the owner call me back, owner is ignoring me and this situation and it has been 4 days now. My husband is on SSDI for some cognitive issues following a stroke. He needs step by step instructions. I was not home. I pull the 5th wheel when we go on vacation. The tow operator gave my husband instructions to put the truck in neutral and keep the wheels straight while pulling the fifth wheel up the back of the ramp with our truck facing the street. He then had my husband disengage our truck WITHOUT telling him to put it back into park. Again, the Operator instructed my husband to put the truck in neutral, failed to give instruction to put it in park. Our Chevy went rolling down the ramp of their towing rig, with the hitch on the front of the fifth wheel slamming into the tailgate of our Chevy, totally mangling it. This happened on their rig, that makes them responsible. That tow operator was responsible for making sure our Chevy was safe to disengage from the fifth wheel since it was on TLC's truck. And they should not ever be using a customer's vehicle or equipment for a job they were hired to do. They will not get away with this. TLC should be making this right on their own instead of making me sue them. more
