Either these people don't know what they are doing or they are not honest. I took my car in because AC stopped working. They said compressor needed to be replaced and quoted $1,000. We called a mechanic who does our other car repairs and he said he would be able to replace the compressor for around $600. When he actually looked at the car it took him about 5 minutes to figure out it was only a fuse. He charged us $50 to fix and my AC works great. And this is a mechanic who does not specialize in working on AC.
