My wife was admitted through the ER, and she walked in due to pneumonia and she is a cancer survivor. My wife was admitted I told the nurse that my wife is on a special diet and not to have trays of food sent to her room and we will take care of her diet. The first day I visited her in the morning there was a tray of breakfast for her and I complained to the nurse. I was told ""why don't you come to the hospital three time per day to eat her meals?"" I replied stop the trays of food. I even talked to the dietician face to face and never got the meals stopped three time per day everyday she was in the hospital. There is a thing called ""the patients bill of rights"", this is the biggest bunch of wasted words I have ever read created or sponsored by a lady I would like to debate Amy Klobucher an attorney! If an attorney read that document they would laugh in her face and that is what it is worth Amy a good laugh. I am sure the insurance company was charged for each meal she didn't eat also and she didn't eat any of them.
