We had been going to VCA for 3 years and never had any real problems....until recently. Our 15 year old furbaby had developed a sudden onset of seizures. We took her in to be examined by Liz Ruark. She told us that she more than likely had a brain tumor and basically gave her a death notice. No tests were suggested...just the fact that our baby was going to die and she didn't know how long she would have to live. She prescribed phenobarbitol and after two weeks the seizures returned. We decided it was time to let our baby go, to end any pain and suffering. We were walked into a room and Dr. Ruark told us that the shot would sting a little. I read the website before going in to see what type of euthanasia practice would be used. It seemed just like the other euthanasias I had been through before...then the horror began!
