My experience with Doc Able's Auto Clinic was a little different. Mr. Steve G. (the owner) listed a car "for a friend-a retired police officer" on ebay. I bought the car, drove four hours to pick it up, and he wasn't even there. He told me on the phone that the garage looked the car over from top to bottom and it was in perfect mechanical condition, safe to put my kids in and to drive the four hours back home. We had minor "bumps" on the way home, but nothing to indicate the major amount of issues with the car. I took it to a trusted garage my family has used for decades, who told me that there were around $2000 dollars worth of work, $900 that needed to be taken care of immediately for the safety of the vehicle, and he let me drive that piece of crap home with shot brake pads!
