I had underground seepage and Disaster Cleanup Services was called by another company to come in. They pulled up a significant area of carpet that was not damaged which necessitated me to pay a few thousand more dollars to put it back in. It was only a small part of the carpet that was wet and two different carpet installers told me that the carpet just had to be re-stretched and dried.
RESPONSE FROM Disaster Cleanup Services:
I am Gregg Sargent the owner of Disaster Cleanup Services. I spoke directly with Mrs Isom. Our conversation was very nice. She had rain water leak into her basement. She had wet carpet, pad and walls. We did recommend pulling all affected carpet and pad since the water was not clean and had come from out side of the home and through the walls. We also found that the exterior walls with sheet rock and insulation were wet and recommended that they be pulled to ensure mold growth did not occur. Our responsibility is to leave the property that has been affected safe and healthy. It is difficult for some one to determine what needs to be done to ensure health and safety without having the proper meters and training to determine what needs to be done. Our goal is is leave your property safe and healthy. If you have any additional questions please call me on my cell phone at 720-277-7113.
