After a Syracuse basketball game, we headed to Binghamton which is about an 1 hour and 30 mins away from the Carrier Dome to get a head start on our long drive back to Virginia. We primarily looked for hotels off I-81. After checking the room rate for Fairfield Inn ($139 for 2 persons) we decided to stay at the Comfort Inn of Binghamton. The rate was $79 for a non-smoking room with king bed. The room was clean and comfortable with a sitting chair, TV cabinet with drawers and a 30 inchTV, desk, wireless internet, and a continental breakfast that included homemade waffles that the staff makes right in front of you.
