My electrical system red light came on while hauling a trailer. I proceeded with my job, hoping the truck would keep running. It did! I took the truck straight to my service adviser, MC. Resulting testing showed my alternator was bad. But MC and his diesel tech kept looking. Upon dis-assembly of the alternator, a bad wire within the alternator was discovered. They performed a bypass procedure that worked...and saved me from having to replace the alternator. Most shops (I believe) would have simply replaced the alternator. THIS IS CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL.
