I had a leaking hot water heater. When Fischer arrived the first thing they did was to advise me that the heater was probably still under warrantee and that I could likely avoid costly repairs by simply exercising the warrantee. This had not occurred to me since the heater was over 7 years old and the ""Big Box"" store where it was purchased from has a bad reputation for honoring their ""warrantees."" But the Fischer technician encouraged me to try and within 20 minutes the ""Big Box"" store had agreed to replace my hot water heater for free. Fischer obviously got nothing out of the deal, in fact it cost them at least an hour or more of their time plus truck and gas costs. But what they did get is a ton of respect from me and a guarantee that whenever I need a plumber they are the people I will call.
