While The Cloister at Sea Island may receive high marks for its accommodations and service, potential guests need to know about how its planned expansion endangers the local wildlife, including more than 100 species of birds and nesting areas for sea turtles. Sea Island has a little “Spit” of land just off the end of the island where these developers plan to build without any regard for the wildlife or the environment. Think carefully if this is the type of developer you want to support with your vacation dollars. It is a shame what they plan to do to this beautiful, natural area.
