We have been going to this bookstore for over two decades and once or twice our experiences were less than stellar. I don't ever recall anyone being outright rude. In Colorado Springs, the land of the worst customer service possibly in the country, this is quite a track record for any business. I would highly recommend this store. I have often found hard to find books there at very reasonable prices. We have also traded books there and have been more than satisfied with the result. I disagree though about the great science fiction section. I swear there are books there from our original visit in 1992! However, if you are trying to find all the books of an old or out of print series in sci-fi this store may be the end of your quest. Sometimes I pick up a discounted book at B&N and decide I would like to read all of the umpteen books the author has written. This is my go-to place to find the rest. Usually, I am not disappointed. Also, they do not accept books in bad condition. So when you are paying for a book you are getting one you can actually read with the pages intact, isn't stained or filthy. If you're looking for high end decor and not books you would do better at Barnes and Noble. The fact that this little store has an accessible and spotless bathroom for customers says a lot about the store in general. Like the people on Pawn Stars who bring in items expecting to retire, the other reviewer is angry to not get the price expected. That is just silly. These people are 1) a for profit organization and 2) they are very experienced in the used book trade. They know who will buy what and how much their customers are willing to spend. Plus, they may have 10 or more of that title already! There are other used bookstores in town to sell or trade your items plus you always have the option of selling your items on-line yourself. Do not go when you are in a hurry because you do have to do some digging. But isn't that part of the fun? I would give this store five stars without hesitation.
