It may be called ""Great Expressions"" but please don't walk in with great expectations. I was forced to go to this dentist as my insurance was about to end and this place was the only one in a 30 mile radius that I could get an appointment and a lot of work done on the same day; I should have taken this as a sign, but alas.\r \r It starts when you walk in the door. The décor is reminiscent of a funeral home. There is the business office manager, slamming the phone down every time she gets off the phone with an upset former patient/victim yelling at the other staff about what an (expletive) this person is, using the patients' first and last name, violating HIPAA, and yelling at other staff members. During my visit I saw one person running down the hallway nearly in tears and heard 2 staff members talking about how they had to ""get the (expletive) out of here. \r \r Then the true horrors begin. The doctor ""forgot"" that he'd not used local anesthetic before giving me the needle to the mouth, despite me nearly pushing him off of me, he makes weird sexual innuendos to his pitiful assistant whom dutifully apologizes for him not giving me local before the needle and for his awkwardness every time he walks out of the room, left one quarter of a tooth that was supposed to be extracted in which later had to be removed, dumped filling all down my throat, and left an abrasion from an instrument that ran the entire length of the roof of my mouth which was due to carelessness because he was more focused on watching the TV in the corner of the exam room. \r \r I advised that I had insurance and was willing to pay $500 extra, no more. After it was all over, the lovely business office lady told me that ""I didn't quite calculate it right"" and I owed an extra $35. No big deal. 5 months later I get a bill for over $140. I called to inquire. The same HIPAA violating nightmare business manager picked up the phone. She said, and I quote ""I fax a simple verification of your benefits but if it says something vague on it, we don't call for any clarification because that's not my job"". A business office manager who doesn't verify benefits!? Okay then. She was rude, unprofessional, and clearly not interested in resolving any issue. These people should only be working on cadavers because live humans are clearly too much for them to adequately care for. more
