The food is out of this world and coming from someone who had an italian restaurant that was 25 years old, that says something. The atmosphere reminded my husband and I of what we would imagine the Sinatra erea would be like. Our hosts gave us a booth in the corner which was very romantic. For appetizers we had the calamari and steamed clams. They were both a meal in themselves and the calamari wasn't the rings you usually get that make you think you are getting alot when in reality your not. They were sliced, breaded and put in a basket. The clams were small and succulent, not the kind you have to keep chewing and then have to spit out because you'll never going to break them down in order to swallow. Dipping the crusty but soft in the center Italian bread it the buttery sauces was yummy. We ordered the Chicken Valastano which was prepared to perfection. The chicken was tender and not dried out. They were stuffed with cheeses that melted in your mouth. The marsala sauce made you want to drink it. My husband order a brandy manhatten up and although he has had very good manhatten's in his life time, his comment was that this was the best he has ever had. If your looking for old world, I suggest this place. more
