About 3 years ago we bought a refrigerator from Standard TV after a kitchen remodel. The icemaker functioned OK for about 1 year, but then became more unreliable into year 2, and almost never worked in year 3. I had not purchased an extended warranty so I was reluctant to incur service and repair charges and finally turned it off. I did some online research and found that this particular model of refrigerator had problems with the icemaker. I finally decided that accepting this inferior icemaker was a poor decision on my part and decided to call Dave Gander, the sales rep we had originally purchased it from. He recommended I call Kelly Coffman in customer relations. Kelly patiently listened to my story and said she would see what she could do. I didn’t hold out much hope. The next day, she called me back and told me that she had gotten me a brand new replacement from the manufacturer. After 3 years? I could not believe it! I have to commend Kelly, Dave and Standard for their awesome customer service. This experience has made me a lifelong customer and I would have no hesitation in recommending Standard to anyone. more
