Classic Bait-and-Switch\r
The Internet Sales Manager persuaded us to drive 45 minutes for what, in retrospect, should have been a suspiciously good deal. After an hour of being repeatedly offered much less well-equipped vehicles at the original price, we were abandoned on the sales floor for nearly another hour before the General Sales Manager appeared to curtly inform us that the initial offer had been a “miscommunication” and that if we were truly dissatisfied we should “consult an attorney”. He apparently didn’t think much of our chances with that approach, however, as he also casually mentioned that situations such as ours arose “ten times a week”, and that nothing ever came of them.
