Run, don't walk, away from the Bob Penkhus service department! \r
I made an appointment three days prior to taking my Volvo to this dealership to have a duplicate key made. I also spoke to a man in the parts department to verify that they had a key available for my car. When I arrived at the dealership they couldn't find my appointment, couldn't tell me if they had a key that would work and also informed me for the first time that I had to have all the keys to my car with me. At that point it was clear that I could not get my key made. When I asked for an estimate of how much it would cost to have the key made if I came back another time, the employee told me it would take him 20 minutes to get that information.\r
The employee I dealt with was David and he was identified as an assistant manager. When I asked to speak with the service manager, he stated that ""he (David) was the boss of this whole area"" and that I was ""wasting his time."" \r
I was on the verge of selling my Volvo 12 years ago when I thought that Bob Penkhus was the only place in Colorado Springs to have it worked on. Happily, I found an independent service center that has done a superb job. The only reason I was at Bob Penkhus was because my independent mechanic does not make Volvo keys.\r
I will go to Denver before I return to Penkhus.
