The guy that came in from Arizona Chimney Sweep was very professional and appeared to know what he was doing. I told him I thought I had a bird down in the chimney, but wasn't sure. It was three days after I heard the bird. I called and they came the next day.
He looked down the chimney and didn't see anything. He came downstairs, opened the flue, and still didn't see anything. Then he went back up, looked down again, came back down, and checked everything a second time. He did say he could see bird droppings and feathers at the bottom, but the bird had apparently gotten out, which they sometimes do. He asked if I wanted a cap put on the chimney, which I did, and so he did that and it was great.
I just looked for a chimney sweep online that would remove dead birds. I would recommend Arizona Chimney Sweep if you're having any problems with your chimney or anything. These people seem to have quite a bit of experience and seem to do it well. The guy was very nice and very professional.
