I consider one of the luckiest days in my life the day I called UCLA (January, 1999) for a consultation and was assigned to Dr. Carson Liu. I even recall the nurse telling me how lucky I was to have been assigned to Dr. Liu as he is so wonderful. Dr. Liu has always been caring and very thorough in his explanations. He is never short or unwilling to listen to my concerns. \r

In April (2013) I had lap band surgery - although it didn’t really seem like surgery. I really had no pain or discomfort. As soon as I woke after the surgery my only question was how soon can I go home. I felt so good I didn’t go home but went to Costco to do some shopping and more importantly, walking around. The lap band has been amazing for me, I haven’t had any problems and just feel full and don’t get hungry. In 3 months I’ve lost nearly 45 pounds. I do follow the prescribed diet and exercise. \r

I’m also happy that Dr. Liu is now doing is now doing SmartLipo - as I am looking forward to that procedure when my weight loss is complete.\r
