After reading several good reviews on-line of this motel, I decided to book rooms here for our family. My wife is a stickler for cleanliness, so this seemed to be a good choice for her. Besides my wife and 2 kids, we had out of town relatives traveling with us to the Grand Canyon.\r Upon checkin we were delighted to discover that Cindy at the front desk had assigned us rooms all in a row. Since the children like to visit from room to room, that made it easier to keep an eye on them. We did not get rooms with mini fridge and microwaves, but since we were only there for one night, and eating dinner out, and having free breakfast in the morning, we didnt need fridges or micros. I will say that our rooms were spotless! We wanted to have a nice hike before dinner and Cindy told us of several nearby and gave us a map. We had a wonderful 2 mile round trip hike in a pine forest, then had great burgers and shakes outdoors on the patio at Cruisers. Cindy gave us coupons for this Rt 66 restaurant, which for 10 people, saved us a good bit of money. This super 8 is located right on the edge of town, so it's super quiet at night, but only a 5 minute drive into town. Breakfast is standard continental, with a couple of healthy options thrown in, like oatmeal, yogurt and apples. Trust me, we ate our fill. The lady at breakfast, Cynthia, was very nice too. Checkout was fast and simple. We would definitely stay here again. more
