My daughter had a 3 oclock appointment. She arrived at 2:30. wasn't even called back to the exam room until 4pm. Dr came in at 4:30. She was just there to refill her prescriptions. Some pain medications and heart medications. Her blood pressure was high when she got there due to her pain. And she was passing a kidney stone. (who she sees a specialist for) She used to just be able to go in, ask for her refills and go on with her day.. (And even that took at least 2 hours!) This time she had to fill out a booklet of paperwork, take a drug test and sign a contract. Then the nurse asks her what hospital she was seen at recently and she told her and reminded her that she was seen for her kidneys, not her back. The Dr then rushes in a yells at her that because she did not sign the release, he was NOT going to refill her prescriptions!!! And stormed out of the room. Not once did anyone ask her to sign anything, nor did she refuse! She simply reminded the nurse what she was in the ER for. (Since every time she goes in, she has to remind them what year the pain started and where the pain is and what kind of pain it is!!) **Shouldn't your ""Primary Care Physician"" already have this pertinent information on file??** \r
Then again, this is the same office that when they changed their refill policy, (""everyone must come in for ALL refills) wouldn't refill her heart medications until she came in and since everyone has quit working for this office its hard to get an appt in the same week!! She was nearly having a heart attack when she got to her appt her blood pressure was so high!! Right! This is the same office that will offer to call EMS before the Dr gets out of his chair 10 feet away to come ""care"" for his patient. Bet he would have done it for another Co-pay!!\r
I have advised my daughter to find another ""Primary CARE Physician"" And I hope EVERONE else does too!! Unless you dont mind being treated like a ""Chart Number""
