Homefix Corporation put a new roof on the house and we were told that the materials would show the day before and they would install it the next day. We were told that nobody would have to be home because someone would be there personally.
I happened to be working from home on day. Early in the morning, there was continuous ringing of the doorbell. They were here to install, but the materials were not there. They started to remove the old roof and decided that the materials would arrived. They did eventually get the materials and get it on. I wasn't thrilled to be doing conference calls while there was banging on the roof. I wasn't sure how good a job they would do based on the comments. The foreman kept saying that it wasn't his fault. I understand that.
They were supposed to inspect the gutters and install new downspouts. They didn't do that that day. We didn't know when it would do that. They did clean up after themselves. We didn't pay until the work was finished. One day someone came to our door to do the gutters. No warning, no call before he came out. They were not done well.
We called and said we were not paying until they fixed the problem. I'm hoping that the job they did were a decent job. I don't know because I'm not a roofer. They were not responsive about another job we asked them about. It has been a very unpleasant experience with them. The salesman was very nice, but a good portion of what he told us was not true.
