After 4 trips to my local mechanic around the corner, 3 new alternators and a new battery, my Sienna was still having charging problems. They finally gave up and said that I should take it to the Toyota dealer. Instead, I took it to Mike's and explained the history to John. He found a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) for the Sienna that explained exactly what was happening (Toyota came out with a newer alternator in 2003 that could keep up charging the battery while the car was idling and too many accessories were turned on). Mike said that he keeps his crew up to date with training and it obviously shows.
