I saw Dr. B for quite some time and left. If you are thinking about seeing this therapist, have a look at the ""bipolar"" nature of her reviews. That should tell you something. I am not surprised some people actually liked her manner and I suspect they did not see her for an extended period of time. It is quite possible that she did not show them any sharpness or rudeness or hostility as she did to others. To me, she did all of the things the other reviewers said in my sessions- ate (I am a recovering bulimic), did her lipstick, was not listening, etc. but there were times she was very different and so I kept going. She is definitely not a consistent person and I did NOT like the way she talked about other people or the offensive language she used (and I don't mean swearing). She was flippant and disrespectful in the way she talked about others. She did not exhibit tolerance or respect. I left because, after seeing another therapist, I came to understand that I was acting out my own history with my narcissistic mother through her behavior. I saw her have a very strange episode in one of my sessions that made it clear to me that she has her own mental health issues. I don't recommend her to anyone who is somewhat fragile- you could very well end up angry, quite confused, and running to another therapist to find out what just happened. Not an uncommon scenario with this therapist.
