Hands down, the worst salon experiences I have ever had. \r \r Last year, I had a cut with Janel which was awful. I asked for 2"" off the back with layers and some sharp layers on the sides. What I got was a basic trim for $70. It took about 12 minutes for her to cut it. The next day, when I washed & styled my hair, it didn't even look like I got my haircut, no shape at all. At the time, I wasn't going to write a negative review because Janel was actually a very nice person. It was just $70 out the window.\r \r I decided to try a cut with the owner, Kathryn, and made an appointment last May. I took the afternoon off of work for this appointment. The day of the appointment, only a few hours before the appointment, I get a phone call that Kathryn is canceling. Kind of frustrating, but I still wasn't going to write a negative review.\r \r But a few days ago, I had the absolute worst experience with this salon. I thought I'd give this salon yet one more chance (not the best idea) and scheduled an appointment with Kathryn for 5:30pm.\r \r I drove 1 hour and 10 minutes to get there and there was NO parking anywhere. I drove up and down Butler Ave for 15 minutes and could not find parking (The salon does not have a parking lot either). I finally found parking in a residential area and as I'm parking, the salon called me at exactly 5:42 to tell me that Kathryn would NOT take me for my appointment. I was 12 minutes late because I could not find parking. I told the receptionist to please not turn me away, that I'm here. She passed the phone to Kathryn and she said she couldn't take me. I told her I drove over an hour to specifically see her, I'm 12 minutes late because there was nowhere to park and that I'm already here. I offered to wait if she had to take someone else first, but she didn't want to hear anything and was unwilling to compromise in any way. She was so rude with me on the phone, I was so upset and just in shock. I've never been treated like this at a salon ever. \r \r After a bad cut which was expensive and two inexcusable cancellations, I figured it was time to write a review and let other people know. more
