My wife had dental work done on 09/05/2012 at Blue Stone Dental. We selected Blue Stone Dental because they were contracted with Cigna Dental and based on reviews looked like a fantastic place to have work dental work done. Prior to the service we were given a scope of dental work of what would be necessary to solve for the dental challenges my wife had at that time. Not until the actual time of service, did the dentist decided to do a sinus augmentation. \r

We were not aware or notified by the dental staff that this possibly might not be covered under their dental insurance. We only became aware of this when they received their explanation of benefits stating that “Benefits are not provided for services considered medical in nature. Please submit to your medical carrier for possible payment.” \r
