Two words come to mind when I think of describing my family's trip here: stale and greasy. We came to this restaurant, based on reviews from this site, as well as some others. We got there at about 6:30 on a Sunday, pretty much peak time for buffet restaurants. As we pulled in, I began to question my decision to come here, as the parking lot was nearly deserted. I tried to keep a positive attitude, and tried to encourage my family. Seeing that the restaurant seemed even more deserted than the parking lot, my doubt climbed higher, but I still held out hope at maybe everybody decided to stay home for family night or something. When I saw the Mongolian Grill, all hope of a good meal was gone. Every vegetable on the line was drying out, and/or wilting. The celery and the cabbage was brown on the edges, and the carrots were so dried out, they were getting that white frosted look. The ready-cooked noodles were drying out on the edges, too. All the sauces were mixed around, so that they didn't match the label above them, so you couldn't really tell which was which. The same went for the bottled sauces they add at the grill; no labels on them at all. The lady at the grill spoke no english, so you couldn't ask her, either. To make matters worse, she obviously had NO idea what she was doing. She didn't know when to add the (dried out) noodles, and she used so much water, that everything she grilled had no flavor when it was done. The buffet itself wasn't much better. Nothing was fresh, and all of the fried stuff was very greasy. The egg rolls literally had grease dripping out of them when you picked them up. The cookies on the desert bar were stale, as well. Even the fortune cookies tasted old and stale. Wen we went up to pay, the guy at the counter didn't ask the usual ""How was everything?"" He didn't have to, he already knew it was awful. Maybe this place was good when it was Buffet City, but it sure isn't good now.\r Are we just too picky? Hardly. We go to asian buffets almost every week, so we know what good and fresh are like. This place isn't either of those. If you want really fresh, go to the Buffet Palace in North Richland Hills. Those folks know fresh. As for this place, don't waste your time or your money. Makes me wonder if all of the positive reviews on this place are made by owners/employees of the restaurant. My closing remarks: blech!!! more
