Do not hire TLC moving. I hired them for an interstate move and had a horrible experience. They contracted my move out to a 3rd party, and the movers said they were going to show up at 7am and instead showed up at 11pm. I had taken the day off of work to meet them, and when I called them to ask why they hadn't showed up, they lied and kept telling me that they'd be there in a couple of hours. I wasn't told I needed to have cash for the remainder of my moving fee, and given the late hour, it was too late to go to the bank (my ATM has a limit on the withdrawal amount in the event of theft). The movers refused to give me my stuff unless I paid on the spot, and said it would be at least another month before I would get my stuff if I didn't give them the cash immediately. I ended up having to call a couple of friends to draw enough cash to pay them, which was quite embarrassing, particularly that late at night. The majority of my items were also damaged including a dresser that had been given to me by deceased mother, a bike, couches, and many other items. I submitted an insurance claim with photos of the damaged items and never received anything at all, and the owner threatened to sue me for posting a negative review on citysearch. The movers also threw garbage in my neighbors lawn, which resulted in the neighbors calling the police. I highly recommend avoiding this company, particularly if you're making an interstate move.
