wholesale tool has one of the best prices around.
unfortunately their website can use some improvements to make finding things easier as well as providing COMPLETE description and QUALITY images for the products they sell. on few occasions i had to go to grizzly.com to buy tooling and machinery because in these two aspects they are superior to pretty much any other retailer i came across.
another issue is sales tax in states WT used to have a sales location - i.e. MA. any savings i might get from WT are off-set by this ridiculous tax i have to pay. This was another reason i went to buy tooling elsewhere - like cdcotools.com
finally there has to be something done about ridiculous shipping and handling charge on small price items. if i by a single endmill or a collet that cost $5-6 then $7-12 S&H charge added to the final price making these too expensive to buy at WT. this is another reason why i went to ebay.com where i can pay $3-4 dollar shipping cost or get a free shipping altogether. i'm not saying WT needs to give free shipping to every small order i'm just saying that for a hobbyist like myself it's not feasible placing large orders that can even out high shipping costs. sometimes i just need one tool and that's it. as much as i like shopping at WT i'm better served elsewhere in this regard. we are living in the time when USPS delivers 1-st class small package/envelope for $2-5 up to 11 ounces. many things WT sells do not need a cardboard box and a pound of packing paper to 'safeguard' a 3oz chunk of HS steel.
