Excellent Place!!!\r \r I use Dr. Sheynberg and I am very particular on who treats my dogs. I have 3 dogs and I have been using Sheepshead Bay Veterinary Group for awhile now. Dr. Sheynberg loves animals and I feel very comfortable when he is treating my dog. He is also an excellent vet. If he werent, I would not be there. \r \r This clinic has state of the art equipment, they have wonderful techs and very kind woman working behind the desk and on the phones. They seem to make sure the people thats hired to work there love animals. I remember a time when my husband brought one of our dogs in, we were waiting for test results. We were talking on the cell phone and his battery went dead. Well the test results came back and one of the techs knew he couldnt call me to let me know what the results were, and she gave my husband her cell phone with out even being asked so he could call me. This is how they are over there, its unlike any other vet that I have used in the past. Such nice people!!! \r \r They do blood work in house, you dont have to wait for them to send blood out and come back. They have dental equipment and a digital xray that has come in very handy for me more then once because you can see much more with a digital xray. \r \r Dr. Sheynberg has empathy for animals, he cares if your dog is in pain or afraid. \r \r To the woman who posted about her cat. You said Dr. Sheynberg would not sedate your cat before going home at the end of the day. He did the right thing. He did not want your cat to be sedated and then left alone. That would be dangerous. I would be very upset if a vet sedated my dog and left him or her alone.\r \r I have really put these guys to the test. I so far have never gone in to just get a shot or a nail clipping. For the 2 years I have been using him I have gone in with severe causes, a 16 year old dog who had a very high WBC, along with epilipsy and other complications. I went to them with my Lab who needed a delicate surgery. She is a bit over 2 weeks post op and doing great. Just 3 days ago she got her stitches out. She was very scared and Dr. Sheynberg held her and comforted her and dogs know, she relaxed and felt better and this is how I want my dogs to be treated. \r \r All in all, from a medical view to having compassion for animals, I love this Animal hospital and the care my dogs get here. more
