I was in Stockton for work and the Internet was down at the hotel so I had to venture into the back of the magazine in the hotel room to find someplace to eat. I ended up at Bud's because the rest of the places looked too fancy for my mood that night and their ad said that it was a casual family atmosphere. I felt totally comfortable getting a table for one at Bud's. The clam chowder was so delicious, the clams were big and fresh and it was homemade. I ordered the crab and shrimp louie and that was great even though there were lettuce icebergs a float. The thousand island dressing was made in house as well and was one of the best dressings I have ever had. The desserts are also all made in house. I ordered the german chocolate cake to go. It wasn't as chocolaty as I would have liked but still good. The servers are great and you can tell that they know the regulars. The manager was making me nervous though because he kept pacing by my table. I would visit Bud's again if I was in Stockton and I would order a big bowl of clam chowder!
