I purchased the Living Social deal for two rooms. Be aware they use what they call the "Legacy Method" which is machine that looks a lot like a buffer used to polish hardwood floors. It did get rid of the stains but I ended up renting a Rug Doctor a couple of days later and the water that came out of that when I was done was filthy.
RESPONSE FROM CHEM-DRY OF TENNESSEE:
Dear Mark B,
Thank you for your comments. You raise a very important point that we explain to every client prior to service. There are now two options of cleaning that we offer our clients. One is cheaper and as you said, great at removing the stains. It is designed for people who need their carpets cleaned good but cannot afford to have it deep cleaned.
We did not offer this service back when our economy was booming. It seems like everyone could afford the deep extraction back then. However, in an effort to charge less money we brought back the original Legacy cleaning method that has been successful for over 30 years to help those customers on a smaller budget. You purchased an Amazon Local deal and your deal clearly stated that it was for the legacy cleaning and that a deep extraction would cost more. The Living Social deal is the same deal but as an oversight they did not include that text. To make this right with customers we are letting them know the differences in the process when they call to schedule and also giving them the opportunity to upgrade at any time. If a customer chooses they can always ask Living Social for a refund and not schedule a cleaning service.
Our goal is simple. To provide our clients with the most outstanding cleaning experience possible. Some people buy a Lexus and some people buy a Toyota. We want to be able to assist both groups of people and do the best job possible for each of them.
