Editorial review from Citysearch 2/17/2013

When we put our house on the market, our agent urged us to stage our house using minimal furniture. The furniture we used was modern and sleek and worked well to create a bright open look.\r \r She also urged us to keep the decks free of leaves and keep the yard mowed and tidy. We could not be present when potential buyers were shown the house.\r \r After several weeks, we had to move to another city. We were going to leave the house vacant, but our agent wanted to keep the house staged and occupied and urged us to use Show Homes of Atlanta.\r \r We spoke to Mr. Ortega and he promised us that they would put a ""nice family"" in our home with ""beautiful"" furniture, who would keep up the house and the yard. He also assured us that they would work closely with our agent and follow her wishes.\r \r After Show Homes moved their tenants into our house, I stopped by to pick up some items we had left in the basement. The ""family"" turned out to be three single women from different generations. They had a large accumulation of mismatched cheap, dreary, massive furniture that did not fit our house.\r \r Show Homes ignored the wishes of our agent. The tenants did not keep up the house or the yard. They broke a vanity mirror and damaged walls. And the older woman was frequently in the house when it was being shown. \r \r Because we had signed a contract, we could not get them out of the house for three months. Despite the relatively heavy traffic of potential buyers through the house during that time, we received no offers. We had received offers before they moved in and after they moved out. \r \r Beware of this company! more
