When you have a paid for and confirmed appointment and you are aware the event is a surprise birthday party, it is suggested you show up for the engagement. If you expect a 48 hour notice for cancellations, your prospective customers would appreciate the same courtesy. Just not showing up nor trying to correct the situation is just bad business.
