North Shore #1 is a fine organization. It started back in the early 1970's under the direction of the founder Vic Panzella. Chief of Service V. Panzella was my friend, mentor and now and then my driver on the ""saint Vinnies"" ambulance. Working the ""bus"" with Vic was always a learning experience. I wish I knew how to add photos to this site. I served this unit, was recruited as a sergeant and in '75 was appointed a Lieutenant. I got to work with a lot of great people, all of whom were VOLUNTEERS!!! All holidays and through all the worst weather, we had a crew show up. I miss them all. I hope to do something special for all of the volunteer first responders. Thank you,\r
