Price gougers. I had enjoyed the great selection for 17 years and today was my last visit. Costco is caddy corner and sells liquor, wine and beer to the public. I stopped in today to get a bottle of Bailys. When I asked about a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle I was told it was ""expensive"". My husband enjoys boutique whiskey and bourbon so I'm familiar with expensive liquor. I asked the price again and was told ""my brother handles it and the last one sold for $2,500. hundred"". I quietly said ""wow, that's price gouging"". I asked for the bottle of bailys and he yelled "" he didn't like what I said and didn't need my money and didn't have to sell to me"" pointing at the door he continued to get louder and shouted ""when you spend $100,000. on barrels of whiskey to only get three bottles of it that's the Michigan minimum price"". I believe that is actually market value and it may sell for that however it is not MI minimum. I have bought a number of Pappys over the years (15-23 years) ranging in price between $150-$250. I'm an educated consumer who happened to have bought a a bottle 4 weeks ago at the real MI minimum. When I told him this he told me I was a ""liar"". I have never been so publicly humiliated and I can't help but wonder if I wasn't a women would he have talked to me this way. It is not ok to talk to anyone this way and I left in tears after being berated by the emotional unstable clerk.\r
