Recently we hired Drums of Pacific. Let me first state that the actual show was really good, I would not say fantastic but it was really good. \r The reason I cannot say fantastic is because this was a family event with family from the ages of 4 to 95 and one of the girl dancers was 15 years old. To me this is unacceptable! She was shacking her body and making moves that were inappropriate for that age and dancing in front of male adults. At first I didn't think much of it except she looks young but then 4 or 5 of my guest made comments on the inappropriateness of her age. For this and the second reason I would never hire this company again. \r Secondly, we purchased food, not the actual cater service just the food, The food was decent, not great but not horrible, For the price was just so-so, Our event was an all-day event and the Drums of Pacific company performed at lunch time. I had 20 guest staying the rest of the day and into dinner, I made sure to buy enough food to cover the dinner, since we were at a location that did not offer food. I was SHOCKED and APPALLED when after the show the Drums of Pacific crew (the guys who stayed outside to move the equipment) came inside and took, or shall I say STOLE, 6 hugh plates of food. (Enough food for 12-15 people, the plates were heaping) I had just checked the food and had gone to retrieve storage containers and knew there was 1/2 of the food left over from a party of 40, so that was plenty for my group of 20, and walked back 20 mins later and witnessed these guys walking out the door with plates stacked high. I did a quick take and noticed now only 10% of the food was left. And not to mention 30% of the food on the table was extra food that I brought to supplement the Hawaiian food. Needless to say I was not quick enough to stop them as they were walking out the door and nor was I looking to make a scene in front of my quest, So you may say what's the big deal, well I paid THEM $950 for the food spent another $200 myself so I am into it for $1150 and they took about $500 worth, I called the company and left a message and never received a called back. I did not authorize them to steal food and expected a refund of at least 1/2 of that $500.\r And one last thing, not directly related to the company but related to a service they offered. I paid $300 dollars, a little more than originally agreed to, for a photographer. I finally got the pics, they said there were about 500 pics. I was excited to get the pics which took an extra 2 1/2 weeks and then once I got the pics there was less than 250 and (I counted) 14% are duplicate pics and about 15% were pics related more to their company, so out of the less than 250 I have 20 decent pictures for $300. YEA... what a bargain. Then to top it off the quality is just ok, not a professional quality like I expected. One of my quest took over 400 pics and 330 of them are GREAT and the quality is fantastic.\r So the story is don't hire their so called photo services get your own and never pay in advance before you see the pics. Because if this had been an outside company payment would not of been in cash and only after review of the pics, but hey you try to trust people. Lesson learned.\r \r Because of the inappropriate age dancer, theft of food and not so great quality of pics I had two guest that wanted to do events with this company but decided not to book. \r My advice, fix these issues and you would have a good show more
