My mother went to see Dr. Skrobanek for a visit a few months ago. At the time she went in for a routine cleaning. While she was there the Dr. stated that she had a small gap between two of her front teeth and would she like him to fix it. She asked if insurance was going to cover and they said yes- of course minus her co pay. A month or so later she received a bill for approx $250.00. She called the office to see what had happened and they explained that she was 2 weeks early for her cleaning and the insurance would not cover, nor would they cover the white filling used to fix her gap. My mother is over 70 years and on a set income. She explained this to them and , at the time, did not care or respond. She later called the Dr to discuss and was told he would contact her back. She has yet to speak with him again. They did send a letter indicating they removed a portion of the bill; but they were making her pay for a cleaning. I have gone to many dentists and they have always called the insurance ahead of time to make sure it was past the 6 months. I would not recommend this office to anyone. It seems they will not own up to their mistakes and now my mom is receiving numerous calls from collection agencies.
