We had the fence put in over 20 years ago. A couple of years ago we had new wire run. We have had a Cairn Terrier who lived to be about 15, a German Shepherd mix who did live to be almost 16, a Papillon who lived to be over 9 (and was killed by a pit bull but it had nothing to do with the fence) and now I have two Shepherds and another Papillon. The ONLY dog that has not been easily contained by this fence is one of the shepherds I have now. I have never had a problem with the fence other than Madilou. The problem I am having is that Comcast was running a new cable for our neighbor and ran it on my property. They cut my new wire and now I no fence and they refuse to fix it unless I PAY THEM. So I am very pleased with the fence. It is obvious that some dogs can't be contained by it, so be careful there. Otherwise, it's wonderful!
